  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-assisted treatment, or MAT, is the supervised administration of prescribed medications which help reduce physical symptoms of addiction, decrease cravings or prevent withdrawal symptoms.

  • Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP)

Following higher levels of care like detox and partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programming allows clients to practice skill-building for sobriety.

  • Outpatient Programming

In outpatient care, clients have the support they need to continue healing while balancing home and work responsibilities.

  • Teletherapy

We offer teletherapy treatment for those who are struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient levels of care qualify for online addiction treatment.

  • Aftercare Planning

Lifelong recovery begins with a solid aftercare plan. Each plan outlines the client’s next steps after they leave our care to ensure they stay strong in sobriety.

What to Expect

Knowing what to expect during outpatient treatment can prepare clients for a positive experience at The Recovery Village Miami at Baptist Health Drug and Alcohol Rehab.

During outpatient treatment, clients can expect daytime treatment involving:

  • A physical and mental health assessment upon arrival
  • Medical support as needed
  • Mental health counseling for co-occurring disorders

For each client’s safety, the following items are not allowed at our facility:

  • Drugs, alcohol or related paraphernalia
  • Products that contain alcohol, including hand sanitizer and mouthwash
  • Clothing that depicts drugs, drug-related paraphernalia or explicit images or language

What Does the Treatment Process Look Like?

Client needs vary, but the rehab process will follow the same structure for most clients at The Recovery Village Miami at Baptist Health Drug and Alcohol Rehab.

  • 1. Intake Assessment

Each new client must go through a thorough intake process in which they receive an assessment of their physical and mental health. The results of this evaluation are used to design each client’s personalized treatment plan.

  • 2. Determining the Appropriate Level of Care

After the intake assessment, the appropriate level of care for each client will be determined. This step is important because outpatient care isn’t the best fit for everyone, especially for clients who have never been to rehab before. Depending on the client’s needs, they may start with medical detox instead and transition to outpatient care gradually.

  • 3. Outpatient Treatment

If outpatient care is determined to be the best fit for a client, they can enroll in treatment at our outpatient facility. Outpatient care involves daytime medical support and counseling, and clients return home or to a sober living house at the end of the treatment day.

  • 4. Aftercare

Before leaving our care, each client receives a detailed aftercare plan that outlines follow-up appointments and supportive resources in their community.
